A Thousand Poems

    A Thousand Poems

It will take me some thousand rhymes to find you, and it will feel like I have known you, for a thousand poems…

And so, I will write you so meticulously

I will shape you through my chaotic poetry

    Only to get closer

To what I know will be way further

    Than what I have pictured.

For you will never rhyme, with my imagery

Yet, I will still fall, for your irresistible reality…

    Some day.

Until then, I’ll be writing you a thousand poems

    And with every rhyme written,

    A step closer to you…

    But I wonder…

Will you be writing me too?
